Smith’s Tropical Luau welcomes guests into a beautiful island setting along the Wailua River, where tropical gardens surround a torch-lit lagoon amphitheater. The peaceful scenery, warm hospitality and lively entertainment make this one of Kauai’s most inviting luau experiences.
Before dinner, guests can explore the 30-acre tropical garden on foot or enjoy a narrated tram ride through the grounds. The evening also includes cultural presentations and a traditional imu ceremony, offering a closer look at the Hawaiian cooking method used to prepare kalua pig in an underground oven.
A generous buffet follows, filled with island favorites such as kalua pig, chicken adobo, teriyaki beef, mahimahi, lomi salmon, fresh salads, vegetables, rice and desserts. After dinner, the Rhythms of Aloha show brings the amphitheater to life with music and dances inspired by Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti, New Zealand, the Philippines and Japan.
