Set beside the ocean on beautiful Kaanapali Beach, the Royal Lahaina Luau welcomes guests to an evening of sunset views, island flavors and vibrant Polynesian entertainment. The experience begins with a shell lei greeting and time to enjoy tropical cocktails as the sky changes color over the Pacific.
Before dinner, guests can watch the traditional imu ceremony as the kalua pua’a is lifted from the underground oven. A hula lesson and cultural presentations add to the relaxed island atmosphere before the generous buffet opens.
The all-you-care-to-eat feast includes kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, fresh island fish, colorful salads, local vegetables and desserts. Familiar choices for children are also available, while a tofu vegetable stir fry can be prepared for vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free guests with advance notice.
After dinner, the stage comes alive with music and dances from Hawaii, Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand. The evening builds toward a full-cast fire finale featuring several Samoan fire-knife dancers and flaming poi balls, creating an exciting close to a memorable night on Maui.

General Luau tables are assigned according to the reservation date. Seating is arranged ohana style, and each table may accommodate more than one party, with up to 12 guests per table.

Vegetarian and Vegan Meal Requests

Royal Lahaina Luau Open Bar
The open bar includes tropical cocktails, beer, wine and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. Premium alcohol and frozen blended drinks are available for $5 per drink.
